In this blog post I want to take the attention off the narcissist and focus on YOU. After removing yourself from a toxic relationship, which was abusive and one sided, there's allot of reprogramming that needs to happen, and this is going to take some discipline on your part. It's hard to create new habits when you are surrounded by the same people and places that may have attributed to them. The first step after leaving a narcissistic abusive relationship is to find a safe location where you can thrive. You will not be able to heal in an unsafe environment or around other toxic people, and this is the second step. You have to remove all the toxic people from your life. Do not be alarmed if this ends up being everyone you've been surrounded by, because this was common in my situation, and many others that I have connected with. After finding a safe location to thrive and removing toxic people, you need to find a therapist or coach that can assist you with your current issues and childhood patterns. Additionally, along with talk therapy, I recommend exercise, eating healthy foods, journaling, meditation, and any other hobbies that you may enjoy that will assist you in healing, and raising your vibration. There may be a period where you have to walk alone on this journey, and that's ok, because the only way to learn about yourself is to be by yourself. Allot of times we are lacking self love or are codependent on others for validation, and during this alone time we need to learn to love and validate ourselves. Do not rush this process, because there is no time frame on healing, and by making these steps you can learn to love and validate yourself, so you know what you should accept and deserve when interacting with others. In healing yourself you have the power to heal others around you, so take the journey of self discovery, and create a better world for the generations to come.
